There are many deceiving spirits, and even Lucifer can disguise himself as an angel of light, so we have to be careful of the messages that we allow to influence our beliefs. The spiritual battle between good spirits and evil spirits is real, just like you said. Practitioners of the occult get their power from evil spirits.
